We welcome participants on our standard courses and activities wherever possible.   However in addition we can offer disability individual and group sessions, and we run a disability club throughout the season at Peterhead.

If you would like to find out more about participating on any of our standard courses, please get in touch for a chat.   angie@aberdeenshiresailing.org, 07812380834.

We have a number of participants who enjoy a regular sailing session with an instructor.   The environment on the water can be soothing for people who have autism, and can give a break when senses are overloaded.

At both Loch of Skene and Peterhead we have stable wayfarer dinghies which are good boats for those with disabilities to get started sailing.   We also have the option of using smaller exciting dinghies for those who like adventure and prefer to learn more via self discovery.

For those who are restricted in mobility, we have a Hansa 303 keelboat at Peterhead, which can allow you to learn to sail independently.    There is space for two in the boat so a great boat for people to learn to sail in as an instructor can go in alongside.   Participants will need to have some mobility in their upper body.   Please get in touch to find out more, or to come to visit to see our boats & options.
