Information you give us.

You may give us information about you by filling in forms on our site when booking courses or sailing sessions, or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise and we will only use that information as we specifically state when you provide that information or as set out in this policy.  Some examples of the information that we collect and how we use it are: 

  • Newsletters: We have several newsletters that keep readers up-to-date with information on our activities and news.  If you would like to subscribe to one of our newsletters, we will require you to send us your email address so that we can send the newsletter to you. 

  • Email and other contact details: You may wish to contact us from time to time by sending us letters or emails.   We will only use this information to respond to your query or suggestion.

We will use this information:

  • To manage the bookings on our courses

  • To send newsletters if you have actively subscribed to them.

Disclosure of your information

We will share your information with our instructors who are running the sailing or other activities.

Where it is required for certificate registration (Powerboat Level 2 certificates) we will share your name, date of birth, and address with the RYA via their secure website for the purposes of registering your certificate.

Storage of your Information

Your booking information will only be stored for the period required for you to complete your course.

We are required by the RYA to keep SRC exam papers for 5 years.

On successful completion of a course we will keep a record of your name, certificate number and date of completion for up to 10 years.   This is in order that we could re-issue a lost or damaged certificate.

Our site and facebook page may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of organisations we work with, advertisers and affiliates.  If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies.  Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.
