Adult Sailing

We run lots of adult RYA courses at both Loch of Skene and Peterhead.   For beginners we recommend you start with a RYA Level 1 Start Sailing & follow it up with a RYA Level 2 Basic skills which should give you the confidence to sail a dinghy without an instructor on board.   These courses are available as either evening courses at Skene or weekend courses at Peterhead.   We also offer a 5 day midweek Level 1 & 2 combined course at Peterhead.   For improvers, we offer RYA Level 3 Better Sailing, and the Advanced modules covering Sailing with Spinnakers, Seamanship Skills, Day Sailing, Start Racing & Performance Sailing.    We can offer any of these courses or tailor made refresher sessions by one to one tuition on dates and times to suit.    For those who’d like to get into racing, we run Novice racing on a Monday evening at Loch of Skene and some Race Training Saturdays at Peterhead.    We are also able to offer boat hire for people with experience equivalent to level 2 or higher.    All of our courses can be booked online, or if you prefer, paper booking & payment by cheque, cash or bank transfer are also possible.   Please get in touch with our Principal, Angie Fraser to ask any questions about our courses.   angie@aberdeenshiresailing.org  07812380834.
